The ASCE-IL Student Outreach Committee would like to invite Section’s collegiate members (IIT, NU, UIC) and recent graduates (2019, 2020 graduation dates) to apply for participation in our 2020-2021 Mentor-Protégé program. Please view the protégé application for more information. The applications are due Monday, November 16th, 2020 and should be emailed to stoutcommittee@gmail.com. The mentorship pairings will be announced on Monday, November 30th, 2020. The pairs will be matched based on best fit of interests and career alignment. The aim of this initiative is to provide students and recent graduates with direct access to current professionals in their field of interests for career, professional, and personal development, as well as promoting social networking. Please note that we are allowing recent graduates (2019 & 2020 graduation dates) to be proteges this year.
For Mentors:
The ASCE-IL Student Outreach Committee would like to invite any interested professionals in becoming an ASCE Professional Mentor for 2020-2021. We are looking for motivated and committed individuals willing to serve as a mentor for students from either the Illinois Institute of Technology, Northwestern University, or the University of Illinois at Chicago and recent graduates. Please view the mentor application for more information. The applications are due Monday, November 16th, 2020 and should be emailed to stoutcommittee@gmail.com. The mentorship pairings will be announced on Monday, November 30th, 2020. The pairs will be matched based on best fit of interests and career alignment. This a great opportunity to have a lasting, positive impact on the next generation of civil engineers.
