2010 Golf outing
2010 Golf Outing a Success!
The Minority Affairs Committee hosted the 16th Annual ASCE Golf Outing and it went off without a hitch on May 27, 2010. It is almost as if Mother Nature knew we were coming and knew the ramifications we could have on her if she didn’t come through.
We had the largest turn out in over 6 years with 89 golfers and 23 sponsors.
Our event rose close to $9000 for our scholarship fund; the Minority Affairs Committee will be sending 8 students to the Introduction to Engineering Program at the University of Notre Dame’s 3 week engineering camp (http://iep.nd.edu/scrapbook/). Since 1990 the Committee has sent 99 students to camp with a scholarship value of nearly $136,000.
